Sammy Cool N Dry® Super Towel
Overheating is more than uncomfortable, it can be dangerous. Placing a towel soaked in cold water around the head or the back of the neck is an effective way to keep cool, but conventional towels drip and quickly lose their cooling effect. Also, ordinary towels may not dry us off as fast as wed like and cant be reused right away. Fortunately, Shima American Corp. has overcome the failings of ordinary towels with the new super towel the Sammy Cool N Dry®
The Sammy Cool N Dry® is the towel-with-a-difference that soaks up to six times its own weight in liquid and then holds on to it without dripping. This state-of-the-art towel combines synthetic material prized in the high-tech field for its hydrophilic (literally water loving) properties with innovative design, creating an ultra-absorbent, drip-free towel that can be easily wrung out and immediately reused.
Waffle textured on one side for cooling, smooth on the other side for drying, the Sammy Cool N Dry® is the perfect companion for any sport or outdoor activity. This special towel can be soaked with cool water and worn around the neck or around the head (bandanna-style) with delightfully cool results that many liken to a personal air conditioner. The towel is also ideal for speedy drying off after a dive. The Sammy Cool N Dry® comes with a handy and attractive plastic container designed for easy storage. In addition, the container can be partly filled with ice water to add to the cooling effect of the towel.
The Sammy Cool N Dry® is also great for drying off your body or gear after a dive.
The Sammy Cool N Dry® measures 33 1&Mac218;4" x 13" and is available in blue, green and yellow. For more information and a dealer near you, visit http://www.thesammy.com/sammyindex.html on the web.

Aqua Lung Introduces the S.O.S.
Aqua Lung International has announced their introduction of a revolutionary buoyancy compensator integrated signaling device called the Surface Observation Signal or S.O.S.
World renowned underwater photographer Stephen Frink conceived and patented this innovative device to assist during his working dives when his hands are full of expensive camera gear. I figured there must be some way to use the pneumatics of a buoyancy compensator to inflate an integrated signal device, so that with the push of a button, the signal device would pop up. I wanted it to be so easy that the hassle factor would go away, and that divers would inflate their signal device when needed. Not only would it save cameras dropped into the abyss, more significantly I felt it could save lives. With such a device there would be no confusion between the boat and a diver. Does a waving hand mean, hello Im OK or does it mean Yikes big trouble here come and get me NOW. Inflating an S.O.S. device would mean, pick me up, states Stephen Frink.
The Surface Observation Signal attaches directly to the existing buoyancy compensator connector on the lower right side. It easily inflates using standard BC air inflation as the diver-controlled rip cord deploys the signal device without further handling. Fully inflated the device extends well above the water surface for increased surface visibility of the diver. After use, it is easily repacked into the integrated holster for streamlined storage and ready for your next dive.

Deepoutdoors Fleece Dive Apparel
Deepoutdoors has launched a new line of fleece apparel for divers.
Bringing the talents and expertise of a nationally-renowned outdoor clothing designer into the diving market, Deepoutdoors has produced proprietary patterns and designs specifically for divers.
Made from APF System fleece, Deepoutdoors outerwear outperforms other fleece in comfort and function. APF System fleece sheds moisture more efficiently, dries quickly, retains its quality feel after each wash, and is anti-piling. In addition, Deepoutdoors fleece apparel boasts both mens and womens style, fit and sizing. Now women can look stylish and be warm and comfortable before, during, and after a day of adventuring.
Other features found in Deepoutdoors fleece include: Raglan sleeves so hauling a heavy BC with tanks will not result in an inappropriate seam digging into your shoulders; A unique chin chaff guard which keeps a zipper from biting into your chin when a jacket or vest is zipped up all the way; Kissing zippers which keep out water spray while youre heading out or coming back from a dive.
At Deepoutdoors we think differently, says Robin Jacoway, the COO of Deepoutdoors. Fleece apparel has been designed for a myriad of activities, but never for divers. With Deepoutdoors fleece, divers now have a choice.
The Deepoutdoors fleece line-up includes:
- Deco - a fleece jacket produced from water-resistant, wind-proof fleece. While the Deco jacket dearly wants to go with you into the water, it is best to wear it up top, during surface intervals especially when the ocean is trying to get you wet.
- EANx - a microfleece jacket made with Twinair fleece, a proprietary fleece that offers high-performance at reduced weight. The EANx produces just the right amount of warmth after a courageous day of adventuring in or out of the boat. Unisex sizing.
- Pure O2 - a fleece vest featuring two zippered pockets. Donning the Pure O2 is a great way to warm up after a summer dive without getting overheated. Available in both women and men styles and sizing.
- Ead - a fleece jacket with similar looks to the Pure O2 that is perfect during beach cleanup or tidepooling with the kids. Women and men styles and sizing.
Deepoutdoors fleece apparel is available in the following color combinations: For women snow/ice, black/dark gray, toffee/fjord. For men copper/black, jungle, black. The EANx microfleece jacket is available in ink only.
All Deepoutdoors fleece come with two guarantees: a 30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee and a In-Depth Lifetime Warranty.
