Aquadyn names AquaTac as
CA Distributor
Aquadyn Underwater Technologies in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, has named AquaTac Systems as the California distributor of the Aquadyn product line. AquaTac Systems now has full distribution capabilities of the Aquadyn Product Line. AquaTac’s goal is to establish a strong direct sales market through the www.aquatac.com Web site, and build a strong dealer network and rental market in dive shops, resorts, and dive boats throughout California.
The Aquanaut Self Propulsion Unit increases diving mobility without adding to the complexity or difficulty of the dive. Unlike a DPV, it becomes an integrated part of the tank/BC assembly, leaving the diver’s hands free for photography or other underwater tasks. The unit weighs 26 pounds, measures 14 x 14 x 10 inches, and can be transported as checked airline baggage, thanks to the dry-sealed battery. The unit provides speeds of 1 to 3 mph and run times of 30 to 60 minutes.
Accessories include a floating snorkel board that attaches to the SPU™ for powered surface cruising and an adapter that converts the SPU™ into a conventional handheld DPV.
The AquaTac Integrated Systems team has done product demo days at Laguna Sea Sports in Laguna Beach, CA in October and will be announcing more demo days through their Web site at www.aquatac.com. Aquadyn UTI and AquaTac Integrated Systems have also formed a partnership to engineer custom devices for the military, life saving/search and rescue, law enforcement, and underwater cinematography industries. The devices can be engineered to meet the needs of the customer based upon the patented modular technology of the Aquadyn Underwater Technologies propulsion systems.
