Images Dolphin Video Housing
Ocean Brite Systems and Ocean Images Underwater Video Housings have introduced a new Dolphin housing designed to fit the Canon Elura, Sony PC-1,PC-100 & PC-300 camcorders. The unique design of the new Dolphin Housings allow the videographer to operate the camcorder's LCD screen in the fully open position. This is a decided advantage when framing shots and shooting fast moving animals in the underwater world.
These new housings are being made from urethane polymers featuring a full view-clear polycarbonate rear closure plate and incorporating all stainless steel hardware. The Dolphin housings continue the Ocean Images tradition of being affordable, compact and completely corrosion and electrolysis free.
Control of the camcorder's functions is mechanical and the housing's standard controls include the "On/Off", "Pause/Record" and "Zoom In/Out" functions. Additional mechanical controls are available at nominal cost. Optional electronic controls will be available on housings for the Sony camcorders.
Complete information, pictures and pricing are available on the Ocean Images web site, www.oceanbrite.com. Interested professional dive retailers may view the new Dolphin housing will be available at DEMA booth #2674. For more information call (800) 549-4861 and e-mail: jbullitt@oceanbrite.com.
Air
Line New Cover
The Air Line by J. Sink, who designed pulleyless, surface-supplied-air for divers, is now packaging both of its gas powered models in cross-link, Polypropylene pans with full covers for storage and travel. The compressor/engine assembly is encased in a manageable 18 by 24 by 16 inch high, 2-part shell that picks up for travel with a simple strap handle. The same straps that make up the handle will encircle the float tube when ready to launch. The lower section has rubber protectors on the underside when using as a deck mount without the float.
In
their cases, the two models weigh in at just 40 and 50 pounds,
respectively. All the soft goods are contained in the supplied roomy
gear bag, which will handle three complete diver sets plus all the
snorkel gear.
Company president, Janet Sink announced, "We looked at all the options in case materials, but decided on the more expensive cross-link for strength and UV protection. With the new packaging, no dive site is too remote, nor is any boat too small for a multi-diver setup."
Air Line's toll-free telephone number is 1-877/207-3235. The web site is www.airlinebyjsink.com.
