California Lobster Diving DVD
California Lobster Diving, the video, is a film about the adventure and excitement of lobster diving. It takes you on actual dives into the kelp forests off the Channel Islands to hunt for the California Spiny Lobster.
Youll see and share the excitement of catching big lobsters and learn about the biology of the lobster, gear selection, regulations, dive locations, hunting techniques, and how to prepare your lobster feast. It also includes exciting aerial footage of diving locations at the Channel Islands, detailed examples of how to measure your lobsters, and more.
The 46-minute long DVD was produced by Steve and Kristine Barsky of Hammerhead Video over a period of 18 months and was shot at Catalina Island, Anacapa, Santa Cruz, Santa Rosa, and other locations along the mainland coast. Also included in its 96 pages is a section on the preparation and cooking of seaweeds for the table.
The authors, Jennifer and Jeff Mondragon, are marine biologists working in the field, out of Juneau, Alaska.
