Disgruntled Bugger
CDN:
Last season while on a lobster boat, we were having a very hard time coming up with any bugs. Nobody on the boat was doing well. On the last stop of the last day, the deckhand jumped off the boat well ahead of anyone else. Miraculously, he was back at the boat in about 10 minutes with a limit of bugs. A couple of other people found what was left of his “honey-hole” and grabbed a few.

Yesterday at Catalina, the divemaster left the boat before anyone else was allowed so that he could “check the conditions.” Lo and behold, he returned quickly with a limit of bugs. A few other divers also did fairly well.

I don’t have a problem with the crew going after game, but they already have an advantage by knowing the territory. I think it is in extremely bad form to cheat the people who pay your wages (the customer) by taking an unfair advantage. We pay to hunt game, and the crew should be assisting us, not robbing us! NO TIP FROM ME- NO RETURN TRIP!

They Come in All Sizes

Leonard Plunkett is on the right with his 12-pound bug and Edgar E. Lawson is on the left with proud catch (barely legal). Both bugs were taken at Talcott on the Peace.
