Underwater MP3 Player
Oceanic Worldwide and Diver Entertainment Systems (DES) are excited to offer the H2O Audio DV Series underwater MP3 player. Using proprietary and patented technology DES has developed a housing and speaker system for the iRiver iFP-300 Series MP3 players that will allow the scuba community to enjoy personal digital audio down to 200 feet. Oceanic Worldwide will offer the H2O Audio through their worldwide dealer network.

“From the beginning we have heard that some divers’ initial reaction is that they dive to ‘get away from it all’ and they claim that audio would detract from this goal. We have found this to be quite the opposite. H2O Audio lets you set the mood to your dive and improve the tranquil effect.” said Doug Krause, Product Manager at Oceanic Worldwide.

H2O Audio can enhance the diving experience for most divers, whether they are taking an audio guided tour of a historic wreck, adding a soundtrack to a favorite dive, or resting at long decompression stops with a favorite audio book. Industry partnerships have already been created supporting underwater guided tours, which are sure to be the next craze due to this innovative product.

“We are extremely excited to share the reality of digital underwater audio. The feedback we received from our test divers reinforces our knowledge that the underwater audio experience is better than can be imagined. The most difficult part of testing was to get our sample products back from our test divers, who claimed they would not dive without audio again,” said Carl Pettersen, CIO of Diver Entertainment Systems.

H2O Audio Oceanic DV Series features a robust design allowing a depth rating of 200 feet, stereo speakers that provide excellent sound quality and an integrated amplifier enhancing audio clarity Speakers attach to mask straps or fit under hood. The player uses standard AA and 9V batteries. Durable controls simplify the product during your dive and a locking closure protects from accidental floods.

The iRiver iFP-300 Series MP3 Player has is available in 64Mb, 128Mb, 256Mb, and 512Mb of storage. It supports MP3 and WMA files, easily record audio to the player without a computer and features a built-in voice recorder. It is both Windows and Mac Compatible
