This photo of red rock shrimp (Lysmata californica) was taken at Shaw’s Cove, Laguna Beach by Victor Chu of Irvine, CA with a Sony DSC-T1 camera in a Sony housing (exposure 1/40 sec, f-stop 5.6, focal Length 6.7mm, super-macro, spot focus, spot metering).

Rick Colman photographed this garibaldi on the attack, defending a nest at Shaw’s Cove, Laguna Beach using an Olympus C-5060 with a 19mm equivalent lens, 1/45 second at F/8.

Matt Brant of Los Angeles, CA took his Nikon N-80 in a Sea & Sea housing into the water at Catalina island and captured this tiny flatfish image. Additional equipment used included two Sea & Sea strobes, a 90 and 120.
