H2Odyssey Fathom-55 Dive Computer
H2Odyssey has come out with their first dive computer, the Fathom-55. The Fathom-55 is one of the new breeds of dive computers that uses a 14-tissue adaptive modified Haldanean algorithm (technical stuff) to the users diving environment and style.
The Fathom-55 dive computer is activated either manually or upon entering the water. Calculating the divers environment every four seconds makes the Fathom-55 DAN approved and downloadable to their web site.
The Fathom-55 is capable of being upgraded from air to nitrox, as well as having its dive profile storage memory upgraded from 90 hour to 720 hours and still logs over 250 dives. This computer has a selectable variable-by-depth ascent rate alarm that allows the diver the ability to utilize a fixed ascent rate warning or a warning based on depth.
The Fathom-55 also tracks and will show a diver all pertinent dive and safety information from po2 percent levels to oxygen toxicity in easy-to-read display on alternating screens.
It is powered by user-replaceable batteries (which will last up to 1000 dive hours) and the Fathom-55 can be downloaded to your PC using analyst 4.01 software.
